Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl), a woman trying to pick up the pieces after a breakup, believes she will never fall in love again. However, during a family vacation in France, she meets the man of her dreams, the charming and handsome Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher). Three years later, the seemingly impossible has happened and the two have started their ideal life as a newly married couple in the suburbs. But this perfection comes to an end when bullets start flying on Spencer's 30th birthday.

It turns out Spencer never felt the need to tell Jen that he is an international spy. Their perfect life is shattered. Learning that her husband is an assassin, Jen will want to uncover what else he has been hiding from her. In the meantime, she must deal with flying bullets, maintaining appearances with neighbors and family, and ensuring that everything seems fine.
